At the competition for the Lithuanian Product of the Year 2016 organised by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, Tiltų ekspertų centras UAB was awarded the Gold Medal for the design of a pedestrian bridge in Alytus.
The main purpose of the Lithuanian Product of the Year Competition is to increase competitiveness of Lithuanian products of high quality and to present domestic products and services to both local and international customers, encouraging customers to choose Lithuanian products. This should contribute to the development of business in Lithuania.
The pedestrian bridge in Alytus – under the name of the White Rose, the symbol of the town – was built by Alkesta UAB construction company. The bridge has been included in the list of Lithuania‘s records as the highest pedestrian and cycling bridge in the country. The length of the bridge is 240.53 m, and the height is 38.10 m.
The bridge design was commissioned by Alytus Town Municipality. The designing works were performed by Tiltų ekspertų centras UAB, with Alkesta UAB being the general contractor and Tilsta UAB and Mammoet (Holland) the main subcontractors.
