In this project, it was important to ensure that the electrostatic precipitator and its ancillary equipment could fit into a small footprint, which already contains an absorption heat pump and other important equipment. Professional and experienced designers from the TEC Group worked on the piping, structural, electrical and automation solutions for this project.
According to the WHO, life expectancy in Lithuania is decreasing by an average of 2.5 years due to ambient air pollution. The aim of this project is to make biofuel boilers as pollution-free and environmentally friendly as possible. The electrostatic precipitator will take care of the environment by cleaning the smoke before it enters the air. This will reduce particulate emissions by up to three times. The filter will also slow down the wear and tear on the boiler equipment and ensure uninterrupted heat production from biofuels, saving around €135,000 annually.
By introducing innovative solutions and equipment, we are increasing the efficiency of our boilers, which contributes significantly to stabilising the heat price. This is particularly relevant when electricity prices have risen drastically, as not only the raw materials themselves – biofuels and gas – have become more expensive, but also the costs and taxes.
TEC Industry is part of the TEC Group, which also includes TEC Industry and TEC Infrastructure. The group provides design, consulting, maintenance, project and construction management and other engineering services for transport infrastructure, industrial and energy facilities.
