UAB “TEC Consulting” Contribution to Renewable Energy Development

February 20, 2025

The new wind farm, “Windfarm Akmene Two,” located in the Akmenė district, Kruopiai eldership, represents a significant step forward in strengthening Lithuania’s renewable energy sector. The project includes the installation of 16 advanced “Vestas EnVentus V162” wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.2 MW, resulting in a total output of 99.2 MW.

Commencing in July 2024, the project’s primary goal is to generate renewable electricity, supporting Lithuania’s ambition to meet its electricity needs without relying on fossil fuels by 2030.

As a representative of the wind turbine manufacturer “Vestas Wind Systems A/S,” UAB “TEC Consulting” is overseeing construction and electrical works from project initiation to full completion. The company’s core objective is to ensure that all tasks are executed smoothly, efficiently, and in strict compliance with legal and safety standards.

In December 2024, the final foundations were poured, requiring approximately 17,000 cubic meters of concrete and 1,400 tonnes of reinforcement. Additionally, protective conduits for cables were installed, and about 15 kilometers of access roads were constructed.

UAB “TEC Consulting” also managed coordination during the first phase of the wind farm’s development, which involved installing 12 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.2 MW. Upon completion of both phases, the wind farm’s total capacity will reach 148.8 MW, significantly contributing to Lithuania’s energy independence.
