Grid Code compliance testing (LitGrid or ESO)

Grid Code compliance testing is used to test new electrical power generation equipment. The purpose of these tests is to assess the performance and safety of generators or power plants being connected to the electrical grid.

Grid Code compliance tests check that the generator achieves the manufacturer’s specified operating parameters, assesses the reliability of the generator and its ability to generate the amount of electricity required by the grid, also it evaluates the safety and other stability parameters with impact to the grid. Without such tests, it is not possible to ensure that the generator is safe and reliable, and it cannot be connected to the electrical grid.
